Market Street Stage Entertainment6:00 – 7:30 p.m. — Jimmy & The Twins
Kick off the evening with Jimmy & The Twins, a popular Maui trio known for their crowd-pleasing mix of classic rock, blues, country, and pop favorites. Drawing from an extensive repertoire spanning the 1960s through today, the band delivers energetic performances featuring songs from artists such as Tom Petty, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, and many more. Their upbeat sound and familiar tunes make them a favorite at venues and events across Maui.
7:45 – 9:00 p.m. — The Haiku Hillbillys
Closing out the night are Maui favorites The Haiku Hillbillys, led by singer-songwriter Randall Rospond. Known for their signature blend of “Funky Groovin’ Poetic Folk,” the group combines Americana, folk, bluegrass, blues, reggae, rock, and island influences into a uniquely Maui sound. Audiences can expect an eclectic mix of original songs and beloved covers from artists including Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Bob Marley, the Grateful Dead, John Prine, and Lucinda Williams, all delivered with the band's laid-back, roots-inspired style.

Summer Fun at Wailuku First FridayWAILUKU, Maui — Kick-off summer at Wailuku First Friday on Market Street on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. This free, family-friendly community event will feature Maui-made shopping, ‘ono food, and live local entertainment in the heart of historic Wailuku Town.

Market Street Stage Entertainment
6:00 – 7:30 p.m. — Gregory JuanGregory Juan, the 2016 Richard Hoʻopiʻi Leo Kiʻekiʻe Falsetto Contest Champion, will headline the evening with his award-winning Hawaiian music. His 2024 debut solo album, Kauluwehi, released under Kahikina Productions, earned him his fifth Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award, including Hawaiian EP of the Year. Juan also received a Grammy Award nomination in 2021.

His newest project, Hiʻilei, released May 8 on all digital platorms, features the song “Pua Meliʻe,” which is currently on the ballot for the 2026 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards Hawaiian Music Video of the Year.

7:45 – 9:00 p.m. — Kuikawa
Popular local group Kuikawa takes the stage as they celebrate their 10th anniversary year with an evening of island music and entertainment.

Parking & Road Closures
  • Free parking available after 6:00 p.m. at the Wailuku Municipal Parking Garage
    (Access via Church Street between Vineyard and Main Streets)
  • Market Street will close to vehicle traffic at 5:30 p.m.
  • Vehicles remaining on Market Street after closure will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense

Wailuku First Friday continues its tradition as a vibrant, community-centered event where residents and visitors gather to support local businesses, enjoy live music, and experience the charm of Wailuku Town.

Art & Culture HighlightsSabado Art Gallery (38 N. Market St.) presents a group exhibition titled “Let Me Tell You a Story,” featuring students of Philip Sabado:
Tioni Acain, Matt Agcolicol, Brissa Christophersen, Jackie Sabado-Eitel, Kuakea Yasak, Alexcia Guerrero, Bailey Onaga, and Brandy Takiguchi. Exhibit runs through April 17.
MAPA’s Naylor Theatre Grand OpeningMAPA’s Naylor Theatre, located in the former National Dollar Store building on Main Street, is now open. The public is invited to:

Namaka Pauole is the 2025 Carmen Hulu Lindsey Leo Ha‘iha‘i Falsetto Champion. Originally scheduled to perform last month, her appearance was postponed due to weather. We’re excited to welcome her to the stage at our upcoming Spring Fling event.

Joshua Kahula is celebrating the release of his highly anticipated debut solo album with a special live performance you won’t want to miss. Best known as the lead singer of Nuff Sedd Music, Kahula is an Emmy Award winner and multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award recipient, recognized for his work on “E Ola Maui,” a powerful single created to uplift the Lahaina community following the devastating fires. A proud Lahaina resident, Joshua continues to use his musical talents and platform to support and inspire his community. Free parking is available after 6:00 p.m. in the Wailuku Municipal Parking Garage, accessible via Church Street between Vineyard and Main. Market Street will close to vehicle traffic at 5:30 p.m. Vehicles left on Market Street after that time will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
